Uniform

The wearing of school uniform is part of school policy, in order to encourage pride in belonging to the school and give a common identity with each other.

The uniform is as follows:

Girls

  • grey skirt/trousers/shorts
  • white blouse or polo shirt
  • burgundy school sweatshirt
  • white socks or black tights
  • black shoes
  • red checked summer dress (widely available)
  • summer caps - baseball and legionnaires style
  • winter woolly hats

Boys

  • grey trousers/shorts
  • white shirt or polo shirt
  • burgundy school sweatshirt
  • grey socks
  • black shoes
  • summer caps - baseball and legionnaires style
  • winter woolly hats

Sensible school shoes (preferably black - definitely not trainers or “jellies”) must be worn to school, in and around the school and at home-time. Sandals may be worn in the summer but they must be flat - no heels or platforms - and must be black. Children are strongly encouraged to change into trainers for playtime to avoid wear and tear on school shoes.

Please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly marked with the child's name.

PE Kit

Each child needs a white T-shirt and black shorts to be kept at school in a bag. We suggest that PE kit is brought to school on Monday morning and taken home for washing on Friday.

Black plimsolls are needed for games lessons and at playtimes. (Football boots are optional)

It is essential that correct clothing is worn for all PE and games lessons and that all items of clothing are clearly marked with your child’s name.

No pictorial T-shirts, no patterned or cycling shorts
