Dear Parents and Carers,

We have now reached the end of our penultimate half-term but Year 6 are as busy as ever!

This week, children have auditioned for a role in our end of year production ‘Robin and the Sherwood Hoodies’. Those that have been successful in getting a speaking part will have taken their scripts home to learn their lines. Please encourage your child to learn these over the half-term break! Those who do not have a speaking part will still have a crucial role in the production. They may help with sound and lighting, creating backdrops and props, performing dances and of course all children will be part of the ‘chorus’.

In lessons, we have been carrying out investigations in Maths and writing short stories in English. In PSHE, we have discussed how and why clothing forms part of our identity and in D.T. children have been designing a T-Shirt that reflects their personality.

For homework, we would like the children to create a collage that reflects their identity. They could consider putting a photograph or drawing of themselves in the centre. They should think about using pictures or words from magazines that say something about them.

This is due on Wednesday 6th June
