Dear Parents/Carers,

The children have written an impressive explanation text about the human circulatory system. They have used technical language and scientific diagrams. It was a joy to read and mark these mature pieces of writing.

In Maths, we have moved on to finding the volume of cubes and cuboids.

Volume of a cube/cuboid:

Volume is the amount of space a 3-dimensional shape takes up. The formula for finding the volume of a cube/cuboid is to multiply the length with the width with the height.

Volume = l x w x h

Please continue to make sure that your children are learning their times tables at home. They should know all times tables facts till 12 and their inverses off by heart. This will help them with their calculations

It was wonderful to meet so many parents at Parents Evening this week. It is essential to discuss your child’s targets at this stage of the year so that they have the best help at home and at school to ensure that they do their best in the upcoming SATs .

PE is on Fridays and all children should bring in the correct PE kit for this important session.

The children should be reading daily and recording it in their English Journals. Please find some time to hear your child read and to ask them questions on what they are reading.
