Dear Parents/Carers,

Year Six are now fully immersed in our topic, ‘Tomorrow’s World’. We have been exploring logo designs in D&T, creating canon compositions using body percussion in Music, exploring villainous characters in English and questioning what the future holds for us in terms of jobs and skills in PSHE.

This Friday, we have our Harvest Festival. If you would like to donate packets, tins or boxes of non-perishable goods to our local community, please send them in with your child so that they can be given during our service.

Workshops successfully started this week and children are busy learning a variety of skills. We understand that some children struggled to register for a second workshop; if your child is still interested in attending a workshop after school, please contact the office.

The quality of the home learning that children are producing has generally been of a very high standard with some wonderfully creative and well-researched pieces of work! Please encourage your child to complete these and bring in every Monday.

We have sent out a letter informing you of the dates for our upcoming Science Museum trip on 17th/18th October. Please return permission slips as soon as possible.

Finally, we would like to again remind you that children should be reading every day and recording this in their yellow English Journals. Some children have Nessy or Reading Eggspress log-ins and should be using them regularly at home to supplement their reading.

We thank you in advance for your continued support during this year.
