Dear Parents and Carers,

Thank you to those that attended our E-safety workshop we hope that you found it informative and has given you a few hints and tips about how to keep your child safe on line. Over the past week we have continued to develop our understanding of Antarctica and have also been learning about adaptation in Science.

For their English homework we would like the children to create a time lime to show the history and development of polar exploration. They may use the internet and other resources to find information and images. They will also need to write a short sentence or paragraph about each explorer to explain their significance.

In Maths, we have been consolidating our understanding of angles and the different types of triangles. The children still need more time to work on these areas, especially finding missing the angles, but more reinforcement work at home in the next few days should help to embed some of these crucial concepts. Your child will have been given homework relating to this by their Maths teacher. Boosters will resume next week and continue up until the Easter holidays (exc. half term).

All homework is due on Wednesday 24th January 2018. It should be completed in the homework book.

Thank you for continuing to support the children with their reading at home. They still need to undertake this activity daily with adult. In addition to this we are still desperately seeking volunteers to come into school to hear readers, please let us know if you can assist us at all in this capacity.

We thank you again for your ongoing support.
